The Volunteer Center at Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Nemzek Hall ,17th Street and Eighth Avenue, will open at 3 p.m today. Volunteers will be dispatched to fill sandbags and construct sandbag dikes at flood-prone homes throughout the city.
Volunteers are asked to report to either the public works facility or Nemzek Hall and they will be transported to where they are needed.
Moorhead will begin delivering filled sandbags today to vulnerable properties along the river. Contact the Call center at (218) 299-5300 to request delivery of filled sandbags to your property.
